Who we are
ECHOFLICKS S.L. is a company registered in Barcelona, Spain. Echoflicks provides an AI-powered storytelling service through WhatsApp and related web experiences. Users upload photos and media, and Felix creates short cinematic films called Echoes.

What data we collect
We may collect phone number, email address, WhatsApp account information, uploaded photos/videos, messages sent to Felix (including voice notes and their text transcripts), generated Echo videos, technical logs, analytics data and payment-related records.
User-submitted content may include family members, children, friends and other individuals appearing incidentally within personal memory content.
How we use data
We use data to create and deliver Echo videos, maintain the user’s cinematic memory archive, improve service reliability, provide support, process payments, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
Echoflicks may use limited facial similarity and grouping technologies to help organise and improve continuity across a user’s own Echoes and memories.
Echoflicks does not use user content to train, fine-tune or improve AI foundation models.
Voice notes: if you send Felix a voice note on WhatsApp, we convert it to text (speech-to-text) so Felix can understand it, and Felix replies in text. The transcript is then used exactly like a message you typed. The language detected in a voice note may be used to offer to switch the language Felix speaks; we only change it if you confirm. Voice notes sent before you accept this notice are not transcribed.
Shared Echoes and invites
When an Echo’s owner shares it, anyone with the link can watch and download the film on my.echoflicks.com. The share page shows the film, its title and its poster image. Messaging and social apps that preview the link receive the title and the poster image.
To count how many people watched a shared film without using cookies, we briefly combine the viewer’s IP address and browser type with a secret key that changes every day, and keep only the resulting code. We never store the raw IP address or browser details. Each day’s key is deleted within two days, so codes from different days cannot be linked. The owner sees how many people watched and downloaded the film, never who they were.
Analytics and marketing cookies on the share page are only set if the viewer accepts them in the cookie banner.
If you sign up through a shared film or an invite link, we record that you came from that film or invite, so the person who shared it can earn the invite reward. That person sees that a friend joined, the date, and the last three digits of your phone number.
Deleting your account deletes all of your share links.
Real-estate films and property addresses
When an estate agency makes a property film in our real-estate Studio, the agent can enter the property’s address. As the agent types, the address is completed by Google Maps: the text typed into the address field is sent to Google so it can suggest matching addresses. We do not send Google the agent’s name, the agency or anything about the film.
We use the address the agent confirms only to make that film, for example to find the property’s plot in Spain’s public land registry and aerial photography so the drone shot shows the real house and garden. For this we send the confirmed address to public services of the Spanish government: CartoCiudad and the PNOA orthophotos of the Instituto Geográfico Nacional, and the Dirección General del Catastro. We keep Google’s place identifier and the confirmed address with the film; we never keep Google’s map coordinates.
The address is never shown in the film, on its title cards, on a share page or in a preview image. It is deleted with the film or the account. For films an agency makes, the agency is the controller of the property data it supplies and Echoflicks acts as its processor.
Legal basis
Our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent where required and legal obligations.
Retention
Photos, videos and generated Echoes are stored while a user account remains active so users can continue accessing and managing their cinematic archive. Users may delete individual Echoes, associated source media or their account.
Voice-note audio is deleted once it has been transcribed; Echoflicks keeps only the transcript, like a typed message. Where a speech-to-text provider stores a transcript on its side, we ask it to delete it after use; providers may keep data for a limited period under their data processing terms (for example for abuse monitoring).
Processors
We may use processors including WhatsApp/Meta, AWS, Google (including Google Maps Platform for address completion in the real-estate Studio), OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Kling AI and Stripe. Voice notes are transcribed by OpenAI or ElevenLabs acting as our processors. Property addresses confirmed in the real-estate Studio are also looked up in the public services of the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (CartoCiudad, PNOA) and the Dirección General del Catastro. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as DPAs, SCCs and recognised transfer mechanisms. Google’s own handling of the addresses typed into the address field is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies
Our website may use cookies for essential functionality, analytics, performance measurement and advertising. Google Tag Manager delivers consent-controlled analytics and marketing tags, including Meta Pixel. See Cookie Policy.
Security
We use reasonable security measures including EU-based infrastructure, role-based access, MFA, unique internal accounts and credential management.
Your rights
Users may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability or withdrawal of consent where applicable by contacting info@echoflicks.com.
Users may also complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Children’s data
Users may upload family photographs that include children. Users are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights and permissions to upload submitted content.
